FAQ

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Yes! I am based in Mossel Bay - Garden Route, but I'm a travelling photographer! That means I am happy to travel for photoshoots. Travel costs are charged separately and are quoted based on location.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?

Travel within 30km is included. Locations beyond this radius are charged at R5 per kilometre (round trip).

What should I wear for our session?

Depending on the agreed style of the session, it could range from a stylish dress, formal riding attire, or jeans and boots! If you are unsure, feel free to contact me to discuss what outfit would work best!

Is there anything I should do to prepare for the photoshoot?

For equine sessions - I recommend that the horses are bathed and turned out nicely. Depending on the style of our session horses can be braided or left with a neatly brushed mane and tail. Please refer to the complimentary prep guide you receive when you book your session.

For our human models - I recommend arriving ready! Whether you have your hair 'n makeup done and outfit on, being ready by the time of our session is a big help! If you need any help with choosing outfits, turning out, or have any questions please contact me!

Can I add an extra horse or dog?

Yes – absolutely! You're welcome to include an additional horse or dog in your equine or canine session. This comes at a small extra fee to cover the additional time, attention, and editing involved (e.g., handling multiple animals, extra posing/setup, and curating/selecting from more shots). Please note there is a limit - only 2 additional pets are allowed. (Limited to only Essential & Classic Portrait Packages)

Extra Horse: R800 (20 additional minutes added, 10-20 photos extra)

Extra Canine: R500 (20 additional minutes added, 10-20 photos extra)

What setup do I need for black and white background fine art portraits?

Fine art sessions like these only require a shaded doorway (Wide enough for your horse to do a variety of poses in) with natural light shining in. Something like a barn or indoor arena doorway works well! Although I recommend that the background is tidied and clean. I do not use any artificial lighting or backdrops.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

I will be in touch a few days before the session to discuss the weather and any possible changes. For sessions 30km and shorter - sessions may be rescheduled once at no additional cost due to rain & unsuitable weather.

For sessions further than 30km, an additional calculated fee will be charged to compensate for any additional travelling / overnight rates etc. (This fee does not include the 'Rescheduling fee' - as compensation is required for travelling and accommodation needed prior to the session.)

How long does it take to get my photos?

Turnaround time depends on the package selected, but final images are usually delivered around approximately three - four weeks. More specific timelines will be discussed at the time of booking.

Do you offer prints?

Of course! When you receive your private gallery - you will have an option to head to my online store. There you can order a variety of prints, with an option to choose a frame.

What if I need to reschedule?

Sessions may only be rescheduled once at no additional cost due to emergencies or weather. Rescheduling for any other reason will be accompanied with an additional rescheduling fee of R300 for those 30km from Reebok (Mossel Bay), and R600 for those further than 30km from Reebok (Mossel Bay).

Can you recommend any good locations?

I’m happy to recommend suitable locations. Most clients prefer to have their session at home, where their horse is relaxed and comfortable. However, if you would like to transport your horse to a different agreed-upon location, we can certainly discuss and select an option that best suits your vision for the session.

When and how do payments work?

Full payment is required upon booking to secure your selected time and date slot.

Can I share my photos on social media?

Yes – absolutely! The final photos belong to you, and you're warmly encouraged to share them on social media, print them for your home, send them to friends, or use them for personal enjoyment (non-commercial purposes unless otherwise agreed upon).

We just ask that you:

  • If the images have been watermarked - keep any watermark intact (please do not crop, remove, or alter it).
  • Do not edit, crop, filter, or make changes to the images yourself (the delivered files are edited to my professional standard, and alterations can affect quality or misrepresent the work).
  • We always appreciate it if you could credit and helps spread the word!

Can I purchase photos without a watermark?

Absolutely – yes!

Some packages include fully watermark-free high-res downloads for your personal use. If your chosen package delivers watermarked finals (or if you'd like extras removed), a small upgrade fee applies (a basic of R200) to provide clean, professional versions without any markings.

Do you offer gift cards?

Of course! Gift cards are available through my online store. Alternatively you can contact me to purchase a gift card.

Do you offer any discounts?

Who doesn't love a discount?! I offer a stable yard discount when 3 or more clients from the same location book a session for the same day. This way the travelling costs will be divided between the amount of clients.

Alternatively, I occasionally offer some discounted packages throughout the year. Keep an eye on my social media for those!
